UNDERSTANDING THE CHALLENGE

In today's global fitness landscape, a common challenge many individuals face is the inability to afford or accommodate a personal fitness trainer. Consequently, many struggle to create or find a customized fitness plan that aligns with their unique goals, resulting in a lack of progress. This challenge is pervasive and presents a significant obstacle for individuals seeking to improve their fitness.

SOLUTION

To address this challenge, I created a comprehensive fitness application that offers 1-on-1 digital training sessions, personalized fitness plans, detailed progress insights, accountability features, and educational resources. I designed this app to provide an effective alternative to traditional personal training by leveraging the power of technology to deliver personalized fitness solutions.

DESIGN PROCESS

To create an effective solution, I conducted research to gain a deep understanding of user needs and preferences. With this knowledge, I developed and iterated on various design concepts, incorporating design principles, user feedback and data analysis to create a final product that addressed the challenges faced in the fitness space.

User Interviews

During the research phase, I conducted User Interviews to gain this understanding and find a solution that tackles the core of the problem. The research goal was broken into three main objectives to ensure the right questions were asked during the interviews.

Framing The Challenge

To strengthen the direction of the project, I turned research insights into "How Might We" statements that focus on both user goals and needs. This ensured I had a concise focus on the common themes of the challenge, which allowed me to empathize and brainstorm human-centered solutions.

To further improve the designs overall usability, I prototyped the 3 user tasks for the purpose of assessing the screens through usability testing.

By conducting usability testing, I not only identified the aspects of my design that were successful, but also gained valuable insights into the challenges and issues that users were facing when performing tasks. This enabled me to refine both the design and the user flow to better address these common problems.

FITSENSE

A digital product that connects trainee with their ideal trainer. After setting their goals, trainees receive a personalized fitness plan designed specifically for them by their selected trainer.
